Why book early?
Living in the northern hemisphere during the winter months we long for the long summer days and warm evenings to arrive, but in Ireland and the UK they don’t always arrive in abundance, unless of course we are fortunate enough to have an exceptional summer, which let’s face it! They are few and far between, perhaps even once in 15 years.
On a personal level I have resigned myself to the concept that an Irish or UK summer is 2 weeks in Costa del Sol or somewhere that sunshine is almost guaranteed. Most folk will adopt a wait and see policy, if the summer seems to be turning out good they stay at home and if not we all book last minute holidays.
The issue with last minute holidays is that they are often the most expensive, especially if you want to stay in a private villa or apartment and book your own flights, flights can be excessively expensive as a departure date draws near as too can holiday properties.
With that in mind when we do return from our holidays we vow to book again very soon, but seldom do, and the same cycle continues. So why don’t we book well in advance? We have the choice of most holiday homes, cheaper flights and even the best flight times, well I guess it just seems so far ahead and Christmas is only a few months away.
Increasingly people are booking holidays well in advance a year being the norm, it just makes much more sense, you save time, money and you can secure the best holiday properties. At Costadelsol.ie we will still see the same trend year on year; that is, in April and May scores of people enquiring about a particular villa that was booked in October or November the previous year.
Why not join the growing number of people booking early and save your time and money? It just makes so much sense.
